Comments on Agenda Items for the 58th meeting of the Medicines Classification Committee to be held on Tuesday 16 May 2017

A total of 16 submissions commenting on agenda items for the 58th meeting were received (PDF Document, 16.4 MB, 84 pages).

One comment was received regarding the update on the classification of nicotine and the regulation of e-cigarettes (agenda item 5.3).

One comment was received regarding the final version of the document titled ‘How to change the legal classification of a medicine in New Zealand’ (agenda item 5.4).

Two comments were received regarding the proposed additional process when considering the reclassification of prescription medicines to restricted medicines (agenda item 5.5).

Three comments were received regarding the proposed amendment to the classification wording of articaine, lignocaine and prilocaine with or without felypressin (agenda item 5.6.1). One comment was received regarding the proposed amendment and reclassification of sedating antihistamines (agenda item 6.2).

Four comments were received regarding the proposed harmonisation classification of ulipristal as a restricted medicine (agenda item 8.2.2b).
