We have archived the COVID-19 pages

In May 2023, the World Health Organisation declared that COVID-19 no longer fits the definition of a Public Health Emergency of International Concern, given that the disease is now well established and ongoing.

Therefore, the regulation of COVID-19 vaccines and medicines is now business-as-usual for Medsafe, and we have archived the COVID-19 pages of the website.

The pages are no longer being maintained but are being kept as a record of Medsafe’s regulatory role during the COVID-19 pandemic. The information in these archived page is out-of-date and should only be used for historical purposes. Similarly, links to external websites may no longer work.
