Advanced Medical Optics (AMO) is recalling specific lots of its Lens Plus™
Ocupure™ Saline and COMPLETE® MoisturePLUS™ products. These lots are being
recalled because of production-line problems at AMO’s manufacturing plant,
which could affect the sterility of the product.
AMO advises consumers who are in possession of the affected products to discontinue use immediately. If consumers experience any eye discomfort or irritation, they are advised to contact their eye care practitioner immediately.
Consumers should return the affected bottle(s) to their point of purchase for a full refund.
Lot numbers are printed on the outside of the product packaging and on individual bottles.
AMO believes the likelihood of users in New Zealand experiencing an adverse reaction is low based upon their investigations to date.
Other products manufactured by AMO are not affected by this recall.
