Correction: Adverse Reaction Reporting in New Zealand – 2017

The March 2018 edition of Prescriber Update included an article about adverse reaction reporting in New Zealand in 20171 . The numbers of adverse reaction reports included in the article were incorrect. The online article on the Medsafe website has been updated with the correct numbers.

In 2017, the Centre for Adverse Reactions Monitoring (CARM) received 3,815 suspected adverse reaction reports. This included 2,553 reports associated with medicines, 1,236 reports associated with vaccines and 26 reports associated with complementary or alternative medicines.
