Prescriber Update and alert communications can be emailed to subscribers.
Prescriber Update is designed to inform healthcare professionals about medicine related safety issues, emerging safety signals, and any regulatory action taken by Medsafe. Prescriber Update is published up to four times a year on the Medsafe website, with a limited number of print editions distributed to pharmacies and general practices.
Alert communications are part of the early warning system. Alert communications are issued once a review of the safety concern is complete. Alert communications contain information on the safety concern and provide specific advice on actions that may need to be taken by healthcare professionals and consumers.
To subscribe to print editions of Prescriber Update, email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and postal address with the word subscribe as the subject.To unsubscribe, email email@example.com with your name or the name of the organisation and postal address with the word unsubscribe as the subject.
To subscribe to receive an electronic copy of Prescriber Update and alert communications complete the following form. Your email address will only be used by Medsafe to inform you of routine information and any urgent notifications — it will not be shared with others.
To unsubscribe you need to go to the list server information page (http://listserver.actrix.co.nz/mailman/listinfo/medsafe-l). Enter your email address (the one you have subscribed with) in the top field of this screen and click the "Edit Options" button. Enter your password in the Password field and click the "Unsubscribe" button. If you don't know your password you can find out what it is by clicking the "Email My Password to Me" button.
