Bupropion (Zyban): Association with Congenital Malformations?

Data from a recent epidemiological study shows a possible increased risk of congenital cardiovascular malformations after exposure to bupropion (Zyban) in the first trimester of pregnancy. All women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should be informed of this potential risk associated with bupropion treatment.
